Palmetto Armory Model 1842, .69 caliber percussion musket marked with Palmetto tree and armory marking at center of lock with Columbia S.C. 1852 at rear portion of lock in original good to very good condition. The musket shows brass bands withiron trigger guard and butt plate. The metal is in good condition with light to moderate scattered pitting and erosion in very good markings on lock the stock shows a repair to the fore end in front of the barrel band which is somewhat poorly doneand there is a large crack in the right side of the butt stock. A trumpet shape ramrod is included. Considered secondary Confederate. William A. Gary collection consigned by his estate. Est.: $5,000-$10,000
