Palmer bolt action breech loading carbine by “E.G. Lamson & Co.” of Windsor Vt. in 50 caliber rim fire, one of approx 1,000 produced. Refer Flayderamn 9B – 080. The carbine remains in good condition with abrown patina finish and non inspected stock. The stock shows some gouges, mars, dings and losses and would be rated as fair to good. The markings are good and the metal shows some slight erosion and pinprick pitting.The saddle ring has been removed and the bore is rough. The Palmer carbine arrived too late for the Civil War and this is one of the few examples that appear to have been used on the early frontier. Est.;$900-$1,800.
