Pair of mid-19th century Belgian percussion high quality pocket pistols showing blue and gold ornamented barrels with engraved and case hardened frames with German silver mounts. The grips are nicely checkered and carved. The pistol’s measure9 ¼” overall with 4 ¼” octagon barrels of approximately .60 caliber false rifled. The metal condition is very good plus to near fine with 75% to 85% original blue that is toning slightly with normal aging and about 90% gold decoration. Theframes show case hardening going to a silvery patina and both actions works well. One pistol stock is very good plus and the other is broken badly and missing a large section of wood on the left side. Worth restoring. Est.: $750-$1500
