Pair of high quality presentation grade straight razors by R. McQueen & Son cutlery, New Castle. In original leatherette case. Finely scrimshaw engraved with portraits of pistols and cards and name “James B. ‘WildBill’ Hickock” with initials on plaques. Numbered “1” and “2”. Original polish on blades. Blades are near excellent. Ivory grips show cracks and old repairs. Case is excellent and maker marked. Provenance: HerbRatner collection, with copy of note from Mr. Ratner stating he bought them at a house auction in Pennsylvania and valued them highly. No other provenance or collection history.
