Pair of high quality pocket pistols with large bores and belt hooks probably French circa about 1850. The pair measure 8 ½” overall with 2 ¾” heavy octagon barrels over .70 caliber with micro groove rifling. The metal surfaces are very good with a light patina and minimal engraving. The pistols are serial numbered 5244 on the inside of each tang but show no makers name or proofs. The actions both work well and the belt hooks are original. The grips are in good to very good condition and are simulated root burl and using a dark stained pattern. Est.: $600-$1200
