Pair of flintlock pistols by Samuel Nock of London, probably made for a continental customer, with fancy imported chiseled barrels, showing hallmark and signature IOH.Kuchenreuter. The pair measure 10-7/8”overall with 5-7/8” barrels of approx. .40 caliber smooth. The pair remain in fine to excellent original condition showing a checkered and flattened side grip. The barrels show their original bright finish and are nicely deep chiseled with portrait of stag and folding sights at tang. The water proof locks show most of their original case hardening and bright blue on small parts. The triggerguards show 90% plus robin’s egg blue finish with rolled edges on the sides of the guard. The stocks are fine to nearly excellent, and the pistols show little to no use and just slight beginning age. The pair are contained within their original to theperiod green felt or baize lined partition case with correct original Samuel Nock label in lid, showing “Gunmaker to His Majesty”, the British national crest, and 43 Regent St. address.
