Pair of fine quality percussion derringers by H. E. Dimick & Co., St. Louis, in fine to excellent condition, showing nicely checkered and ivory inlaid stocks, browned barrels, case hardened locks and mounts; approximately .45 cal., 6-groove rifled, 7/8 stocked to muzzles, with no ramrods, and silver escutcheons and plaque on top of wrist. The locks are marked C Wirsing. The pistols measure 7" overall, with 2-1/2" heavy roundto octagon barrels. The pair remain in fine to near excellent condition showing 80-90% of the original brown and case hardened finish, some minor normal aging; stocks are near excellent with a few marks. H. E. Dimick was a direct competitor to Hawken and was known for his fine quality plains and target rifles, and quality arms of every type. Few specimens of derringers are known by this maker, and this the best and finest condition pair we have ever cataloged. Est.: $14,000-$28,000
