These silver mounted Queen Anne style pistols were made by Israel Segalas, a French Huguenot who moved to England circa 1685-1690 and is listed as early as 1702 as a gun maker. Detachable cannon-style barrels with leaf border engraving at the breech, engraved borders around the chambers, and engraved tangs with 3-dimensional leaf patterns at the fronts. The locks are marked "SEGALAS - LONDINI" below the flash pans, with scallop-engraved borders. Iron trigger guard, with a decorative finial similar to the tang. Silver foliate side plates terminating in serpent's heads, leaf bordered silver thumb shields and grotesque silver buttplates.
