Pair of Rare Silver-Mounted Ladies' Western Gauntlets by Bohlin together with Magazine Depicting Them Being Worn. The fine and collectible pair of silver-mounted western gauntlets of black leather, the cuffs adorned with borders having floral engraved silver diamond studs surrounding a floral hand-tooled panel, the outer side with a five-pointed star made of five engraved silver diamonds with a circular silver spot mounted with the initial K [Kathleen]. Sold together with a copy of Equestrian Trails, dated February, 1973 which has a photograph on the cover showing equestrian Kathleen Senft mounted on her prize American Saddlebred mare Golden Princess and wearing these exact gauntlets. The mare appears to be wearing matching silver-mounted Bohlin tack and is dressed for the 1973 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. A rare and desirable pair of ladies' western gauntlets, both contained in original individual red cotton flannel bags.
