Matched Pair of High Grade Winchester Model 1895 Theodore Roosevelt 150th Anniversary Lever Action Rifles: 1.) #TR150H0151, .405 Win. cal., 24'' barrel with a high polish blue finish; top of barrel with facsimile of Theodore Roosevelt's signature in gold script; coin-finished receiver with extensive game scene engraving and gold accents, both the right and left side with a gold banner that reads ''Theodore Roosevelt / 1858-2008 / 150 Years / Father Of Conservation''. High grade checkered walnut stock with a straight grip, Schnabel forend, and smooth steel buttplate; right side of buttstock with an inlaid Theodore Roosevelt medallion. Sights include a dovetailed front with brass bead and sporting elevator rear. Rifle also features a gold-colored trigger and tang mounted safety. 2.) #TR150C0151 is in the same basic configuration as the first rifle with the exception of the receiver, which has a high polished blue finish, and top of barrel is matted, which moves the gold script signature to the top of the receiver. In their original boxes with matching end labels, decorative slip covers, and hang tags. Both rifles appear unfired and the second rifle appears as new with the exception of one small mark to the right side of the forend. The first rifle does show some handling marks and wear to the buttstock, including a noticeable impression to the left side at the wrist, fortunately it is in front of the checkering; right side near the medallion with what appears to have been a scratch and small chip to the finish that was filled with some sort of synthetic material that was left a little high and needs to be finished flush with the wood, otherwise stock shows intermittent handling marks. Wood checkering on both rifles is clean and sharp. Gold accents are bright and all of the factory finishes remain. Actions are excellent with bright bores. Slipcovers show moderate wear from storage, mainly to the edges. Both of these rifles were limited to a total production of 1,000 with only 500 produced with matching numbers. Est.: $2,500-$4,000/set. (Modern)
