Pair of French style flintlock blunderbuss pistols circa late 18th to early 19th century with brass barrels, lock plates and mounts. The pair measure 12-3/4” overall with 7” cast naval brass barrels that are made in three(3) stages and flare to 1 7/8” across the center of muzzles and about 1-1/4” bore. The pair remain in very good original condition retaining original flintlock parts. The stocks are also very good with a couple ofchips, small losses and normal aging. Though not marked or signed these are nearly identical to known examples made in St. Etienne in the late 1790’s. Pairs of blunderbuss pistols are rarely encountered.Est.; $5,000-$10,000
