Pair of French style brass mounted flintlock pistols circa about 1790 in the style of arms known to have been made Nante for Naval purposes. The pistols measures 13” overall with a 6 ¾” barrel showing bell mouth cannon barrels ofapproximately .60 caliber smoothbore. The pistols are in its original flintlock configuration with correct hammer, top jaw and small parts. The condition is near fine with sharp metal and beautiful wood showing just some minor handlingmarks and minimal aging. The steel parts show a dark patina. The condition is remarkable for its age. The ramrod is brass tipped and in the correct style. Est.: $2000-$4000
