Pair of Colt 1872 old-line .22 caliber 7-shot opentop revolvers, period or factory engraved, nickel plated, ivory grips, in deluxe French-style brass and rosewood case. Serial #78380 and #63325. Pistol #63325remains in very good plus to near fine condition with 70-80% original nickel, evenly lifting with some slight polishing, minor erosion, pinprick pitting just starting where finish has drifted. The edges are good, themarkings sharp, the pistol is generally very good overall with mirror bright blue showing on small parts. The original ivory grips are also very good plus with a nice yellowish patina and fit impeccably. Pistol #78380remains in similar condition to its mate, slightly less original nickel, some pitting on the barrel and cylinder, but also generally very good overall showing very good markings and very good ivory grips showingjust slight cracking and age.
