Pachmayr custom made big game sporting rifle in .458 Winchester Magnum caliber on Mauser model 98 action, highly engraved and gold inlaid with extra select burled walnut checkered stock. The barrel is marked Custom Made by Pachmayr, and floorplat also engraved Pachmayr gunworks within the engraving. The rifle shows a 24” round to octagon barrel with African type raised rib, and ramp-type front sight. The action and rear of barrel are nicely and deeply scroll engraved with a large gold inlay of cape buffalo on front ring of action. The triggerguard and floorplate are also finely engraved and show gold inlays of bear and moose surrounded by scrolls. The stock is exceptionally well-made and show a beautiful grain. Montecarlo type cheekpiece, fancy patterned checkering on rest and forend of stock with select forend cap. The metal surfaces shows 98-99% original blue. The stock shows one bad gouge and a couple of marks and dings from carry and use. The gun measures 44-1/2” overall, and the stock measures 13-7/8” to the end of the wood, 14-7/8” to the end of the pad. The action shows engine turning and polishing, the bore excellent, the rifle has seen just a little use. Serial #12344.

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
