SINGLE WITH LATER 20 GA. O/U SET WITH CASE. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4" & 20 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 46087. This gun was made in 1975 as a double/single set. A new set of 20 Ga. barrels made specially for this gun in 1997. All barrel sets are fitted with raised ventilated ribs, doubles with ventilated side ribs, 12 Ga. double barrels are ported and fitted with fixed chokes and are 30" long. Matching single barrel with screw choke is 34". These barrel sets are marked "Manifattura Armi Perazzi (Brescia)" and "MADE IN ITALY". The 20 Ga. set is marked "Perazzi BRESCIA MADE IN ITALY" on monobloc. S# of the 20 Ga. barrels is 98787, S# of this gun is also stamped. These barrels have fixed choke in top barrel; screw choke in bottom. Coin finished MX8 action with blued removable trigger group features non automatic safety and single non selective trigger. Action is engraved with full coverage large shaded acanthus scroll as counter point to well detailed bullino game scenes. A setter pointing a flock of departing partridge in open meadow is on left side, with a pair of setters pointing and honoring unseen quarry are on right. Bottom of action depicts a pair of mallards settling into a marsh. No engravers signature is found. Well marbled European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14 3/8" over Perazzi trap style open sided pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. WEIGHT: 8 lb. 2 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun and barrels come with a tan leather case with stitched leather corners. Interior is lined in burgundy velvet with Leonard Puccimelli Armi Fabbri label in lid. Case contains: unengraved spare trigger group marked "O/U". (Engraved group in gun is also marked "O/U"). Gun and barrels do not all fit in case. CONDITION: very fine as lightly restored probably at time newer barrels were fitted. Barrels retaining nearly all their blue with some light silvering. Action lightly cleaned showing no staining. Buttstock with oil touch up; checkering lightly worn. Checkering on forends show some darkening on 12 bore. 20 bore is "near new". All bores are bright and shiny. Mechanically fine. Case shows light scuffs, straps and handle are good, interior cloth is good. (23-4768/MGM). MODERN. $25,000-40,000.
