P4A flying helmet given by Carl Richard Dice while stationed at Toul Rosires Air Base to his nephew; he mentions his Squadron Commander was 1st to break the sound barrier 2 years ago. He further states he broke thesound barrier many times wearing this exact helmet. Copies of shipping tags and condemned tag dated 1959. Unfortunately the letter is also a copy as the family kept the original. Dice’s service records show he was K.I.A. in 1969 as a Jajor in the Air Force while flying over Laos. The helmet is good with painted red and white colors with stars, “Carl” on back, visor intact. Est.: $2,000-$3,000.
