Manufactured in the late 19th century in New York by P. Bourdereauz whose patents were licensed to Merwin and Bray. The heavy barrel is marked "P. BOURDEREAUX NY". Globe pin front sight and tang peep sight with the barrel tapped for a rear sight. Barrel has a false muzzle and a bullet seater. Double set triggers with a light engraving on the hammer, lock plate, upper tang, breech block, and ornate trigger guard. Half stock with checkered wrist, Schuetzen buttplate, and horn forend cap. The forearm has provisions for a palm rest and a ramrod (palm rest and ramrod are not included).

Condition: Very good. The rifle has a smooth dark brown patina with some minor pitting near the muzzle. The revarnished stock is also very good with some minor dings and scratches. Overall the checkering is crisp. Mechanically fine.
