Thomas (Tommy) Singer (born 1940 - May 31, 2014)
He is one of the most regarded silversmiths in Navajo history having created the ‘CHIP INLAY’ an intricate use of turquoise and coral chips integrated in to the silver work. This method made Mr. Singer famous world around in the 60’s. He is known for his overlay work, storyteller pieces, rug patterns and traditional motifs.
Size 7.75 simple and elegant oval ring design. The oval is divided in half at an angle one half of the ring has turquoise the other opal and the two piece are divided by a 1.25 mm wide strip of coral. The oval inlay measures 14 mm x10 mm and ring weighs 6.3 g. Piece is stamped sterling but is not signed by the artist.
