This is a like new example of a very late WWII code Mauser Banner Police Luger pistol rig with desirable "Eagle/L" Police proof. The top of the chamber area is stamped "1942" for the year of manufacture with the large Mauser/Banner logo on the front toggle. The standard "Eagle/L" Police proof is stamped on the right side of the receiver, with the Nazi "Eagle/N" commercial proofmarks stamped on the left side of the receiver and the breechblock. The full serial number "7399y" is stamped on the front of the frame, with "7399" stamped and the left side of the barrel extension, and underside of the barrel with the last two digits of the serial number "99" stamped on the various small parts. The pistol has a salt blue finish and checkered walnut grips. This beautiful Police Luger rig is complete with two original, all blued, matching Police magazines that are correctly marked on the pinned aluminum bases, "2/7399" and "3/7399" respectively. It is complete with outstanding late black leather Police holster that is marked on the back "OTTO SINDLE/BERLIN/1942/Police Eagle proofmark.

Condition: Excellent plus with 99% of the original blued finish with minor high spot wear. The grips are also excellent with nice distinct checkering on both sides. This excellent pistol has all matching numbers to include both magazines numbered as noted above. The holster is like new with excellent black color overall with only very minor handling marks with crisp, sharp markings with intact, tight white stitching. A beautiful 1942 dated, all matching Mauser Banner Police Luger Rig.
