Produced from 1955 to 1964, the Model 58 is gas operated, making it the first Remington semi-auto not to use Browning's recoil-driven operation. White or ivory front and nickel mid beads, with an improved modified choke and 2 inch wedges of scroll engraving on either side of the breech. Additional scroll engraving is present on the frame and trigger guard, along with floral patterns on the pins and a starburst on the rear of the operating handle. Extra-fancy walnut stock, with the adjustable gas port integrated into the magazine cap, fine areas of checkering on the beavertail forearm and pistol grip, a Remington grip cap with Fleur-de-Lis accents, 13 1/2 inch pull, and a solid Pachmayr Decelator recoil pad.
BBL: 30 inch vent rib

Serial Number: 73366V
Condition: Near new, showing only the lightest of handling marks overall, with sharply executed engraving, crisp checkering, and beautiful wood grain stock. The wood on this is certainly of the highest grade, and I'll bet it took years to fine one this spectacular. A superb piece from the James Tipton Collection.
