According to the barrel code, this shotgun was produced in June of 1948, during the interim period between the introduction of the Model 11-48 shotgun and the discontinuation of the Model 11. Single brass bead on the solid rib, with the standard markings on the left side of the barrel, 2 3/4 inch chamber, "FULL" choke, and "PTT" date code. The receiver is roll engraved on each side, with a duck in flight over a marsh on the left and a pheasant among short grass on the right, and the "MODEL 11" marking on the bolt. Fine walnut stock, with checkering on the forearm and pistol grip, 14 inch length of pull and serrated Remington buttplate. With a Browning box hand numbered and properly labeled to gun.
