This excellent cased example of a Webley "WG" Target Model Double Action revolver features adjustable target front and rear sights. The top strap is stamped "WG TARGET MODEL" on the left side and the lower left side of the frame is marked "WEBLEY/PATENTS" with the Winged Bullet trademark. The caliber "450/455" and "ENGLAND" export markings are stamped on the left side of the barrel lug. British "crown/V", "crown/CP" and "NP" proof and inspection marks are stamped on the right barrel lug with "crown/V" and "crown/CP" inspection marks stamped on each cylinder chamber at the rear. A double arrow "Sold Out Service" mark is stamped on the left side of the barrel lug and a British Government "Broad Arrow" property mark is stamped on the left side of the top strap. The full serial number is on the right side of the frame with the partial serial number "181" stamped on the bottom of the barrel lug and "81" stamped on the bottom of the barrel latch. The revolver has a high polish commercial blue finish with bright trigger, hammer, cylinder latch and finely checkered two piece grips. The oak British style case has a round brass escutcheon, brass reinforcing screws, blue felt lining and has six compartments including a twenty-round cartridge block. A brass cleaning rod is included in the case.

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 90% bright original high polish blue finish showing scattered light handling wear and scattered surface oxidation. The grips are good with moderate handling wear. All markings are crisp. The actions functions perfectly. The case is very fine with exterior showing moderate handling and storage wear. This is an excellent example of a Webley "WG" Target Model Double Action revolver with correct case.
