Oskar Merkel O/U double rifle in 7x57 rimmed cal., finely engraved action, quick detachable claw mounted scope, serial #5024 on action and barrel, with Merco marking on top of frame; bottom of barrels show pre-wareagle, N and Suhl proofs. The rifle shows an H. Nickle scope on quick detachable claw mounts. The rifle shows 24" barrels, measures 40-1/4" overall, raised hand filed rib, iron V rear sight, bead front sight, nicelycheckered walnut stocks; beautifully engraved with bawling stag on left surrounded by oak leaves, young stag on trigger guard, oak leaves on pistol grip cap, raging boar on right side. The engraving is extra finequality. There is a collection number stamped behind the pistol grip, "376". The barrels retain a 90-95% original blue, just slightly thinning at the edges. The frame and forend release show most of theiroriginal case hardening, toning slightly. The stocks are very good+ to near fine, with a couple of minor scratches. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
