Ornate and pierced cup hilt rapier comprised of associated 17th century parts and probably Italian or Spanish made. The cup is beautifully pierced in floral designs and the guard quillins and pommel are decorated to match. The blade issomewhat plain and was associated. The blade measures 41 ¼” showing laminations in the forging and battle marks and losses with slight reshaping. There is a “W. C. C. 21” stamp on the blade which is for Western Costume Company that rented mostly genuine props to movie companies in the Golden age of Hollywood. The grip has been expertly restored with a museum quality wrap. An attractive and ornate cup hilt comprised of genuine parts. Est.: $1500-$3000
