Original watercolor signed lower right by Peter Petersen Toft. Shows European village scene with Alps in the background probably Germany or Switzerland from the architecture. The condition is fine to near excellent also dated lower left June 9th , 1866 with makers remark or initials. This artist was born in 1825 and died in 1901 and was highly regarded in Europe as a master painter. Measures approximately 14” x 17”. Est.: $1,500-$3,000.
