Original polychrome or cold painted bronze of African bull elephant signed on belly Doug Van Howd and numbered one of only four. Measures approximately 10 ½” in height by 12” across stone base which is approx. ½” thick. Doug Van Howd is a very well-recognized Western sculptor and artist whose work is in many prominent institutions, public buildings and premier collections. Mr. Robert Petersen actively collected his artwork and tried toobtain every serial number 1 he could possibly buy. This was his white elephant. From the estate of Robert Petersen.
