Original oil painting on canvas signed lower right Peter Deakin who was a well-known English artist from 19th century whose works hang in the Louvre Museum in Paris and also the Prince Albert Museum in England. The work measures approximately 17 1/2” x 26”. The canvas is in very good condition on its original frame and stretcher. An old dealer tag on back gives title “Gathering Nuts”. This artist has a very good listing and displayed his works at the Royal Academy and many expositions between 1855 and 1879. Est.: $1,500-$3,000+++
