Original oil painting on canvas signed lower right C. Rungius (1869-1959) showing desert sheep with rugged landscape, cactus and rainbow. Approximately 24”x18” the canvas is in very good to fine condition needing slight cleaning and conservation, no problems under black light. Nicely framed, matte shows some fading and aging. Stickers on back indicate museum exhibition but no name. Carl Rungius needs no introduction as he is considered the premier American Wildlife Artists and his work is displayed in major museums throughout the United States.
