Original oil painting on canvas signed L. Tayson lower left portraying Indian storyteller reading from painted hide in Native American tradition. Lyle Tayson lives in Cheyenne, Wyoming and is a graduate of the prestigious Chicago Art Institute who was honored in the Southwest Art Magazine and numerous other publications since the mid-1970s when he began his fine art career after having a successful commercial artbackground working for Ford Motors, Columbia Records and Mobile Oil Co. His work has seen the influence of E.I. Couse and J.H. Sharp who he has been compared with in style.
