Original oil painting on board portraying Sam Houston at the Alamo holding his bowie knife wearing buck skin, showing pistol and belt, classic 1830’s dress. The painting is signed lower right “Donald Prechtel”, approx 16” by12”. Don Prechtel is one of this cataloger’s favorite artists and he is recognized all over the US for his accurate historical portrayals, particularly of the Civil War.
