Original oil on canvas entitled "The Sunbather" by Lynn Bogue Hunt signed lower right, dated 1949. The painting measures approx. 14” by 16” and is very good to near fine condition just needing slight cleaningand new varnish. Lynn Bogue Hunt (1878 - 1960) was one of the most successful artists in American even throughout the depression. His first illustration appeared in Sports Afield in 1897. He accomplished over 106illustrations for Field & Stream alone up to and including the 1951 cover edition. His sporting art is some of the most recognized of all time and he illustrated some of the earliest duck stamps. He had a long andsuccessful career and was considered one of the very best of the best sporting artists during the 20th century. From the Robert Petersen Collection. Est: $3,500- $7,000
