Original late percussion era case for Colt 1861 Navy showing partition style interior with green baize lining circa late 1860’s – 1870’s. The case shows a compartment for extra cylinder or conversion to cartridgecylinder such as Thuer. The exterior is typical veneered hardwood and in very good condition with one large crack at the center and normal exterior aging. The interior is in very good condition showing some lightwear at contact points, slight fading, minor tatters and staining. The lining and case are absolutely genuine to the 19th century and a prominent collector saved this case for decades looking for just the right gun. Arare original Colt accessory. Est.;$3,000-$6,000.
