Original bronze of cowboy with single action pistol, #42 of 150 by R. C. Merrill dated 1992. Measures 13-1/2” in height not counting 2-1/2” high base. The base shows a presentation inscribed plaque which reads “To Roy and Dale and the Rogers family with deep appreciation from The Wild Bunch and the members of the Single Action Shooting Society, April 1998”. Accompanied by the bronze is a letter signed by Roy Rogers Jr.describing the lot as part of the Roy Rogers and Dale Evans museum collection. The bronze is nicely detailed and the costume is authentic. Note: Bottom of base is hand-inscribed in pen “The Shootist by R. C.Merrill” and a personal inscription to the family by Merrill.
