Original Parker upgraded to “Invincible” grade by Freddy Brunner for his personal collection, 1 of only 10 produced by Brunner for Pachmayr of Los Angeles. Frank Pachmayr believed the “Invincible” Parker to be the finest American shotgun ever produced and due to their complete unavailability even 30 years ago he decided to re-create 10 custom-made arms as a tribute with an original price of $40,000 each. This Parker was the one that Mr. Brunner the master gunsmith for Pachmayr and lead craftsman on this project decided to keep for his personal collection. Specifications; 12 gauge with 32” special steel marked barrels, 2 ¾” chambers, auto ejector’s, double triggers, choked improved modified and full, non-ventilated raised rib, side plates and side clips, 15” pull to end of pad, 2 5/8” drop at the comb and 1 ½” drop at the heel, extra fancy border checkering, high-gloss finish on hand selected exhibition grade Burl Walnut stocks and hard rubber recoil pad. Decorations; The “Invincible” shows elaborate metalwork around the rear of frame and side plates along with fine quality banknote scroll type engraving with multicolor inlays of florals, game birds and Parker logo all in flush gold and high relief simulating the classic “Invincible” styling. The barrels are also engraved to match at the breeches with similar floral decorations. The quality of the work is excellent. Condition; the condition is excellent as restored at time of upgrade and shows almost no firing or use 99% plus. A custom made canvas and leather carrying case for this Parker is included. After discussions with Mr. Brunner and several knowledgeable shotgun experts we agree that the current replacement value of this shotgun at today’s prices would be above $75,000 and perhaps as much as $100,000 due to the high cost of labor. Est.: $25,000-$50,000.
