For your consideration is this original oil on canvas painting, originally purchased at the Snook Art Company in Billings, portraying a woman in a white garment and a necklace with a white star pendant around her neck. She is being attended by three cherubs with a blue robe. The setting appears to be a bluff overlooking the sea, in the foreground is a flowering tree or bush, having small white and pink blossoms. The colors are all very pastel and the scene appears pleasant. It is framed in a gilded wood frame measuring 18.25"w x 37.75"t. On back of the frame is a tag itentifying the painting as having been purchased at the Snook Art Company in Billings, Montana. The Snook Art Company was opened in Billings in 1913 by Earl and Elianor Snook. Earl Snook had been a good friend of Chief Plenty Coups of the Crow Nation, as well as artist Will James. The Snook Art Company was in business in Billings for over 100 years.
