This lot features a high-end Karl Hofner violin - manufactured in the Bavarian town of Bubenreuth Germany in 1969. This particular violin is believed to be based off of the famous Stradivarious model, and features excellent dark brown varnish as well as ebony accents. This violin includes the original bow with inlaid mother of pearl, as well as a hard case. The violin is ready to play but could use a tune. The interior label reads " Karl Hofner - Bubenreuth 1969 - Germany", the bridge is simply labeled "* Aubert". All in all, the violin is in good functional and aesthetic condition, the neck has no finish though. The body of the violin measures 13 1/4" long, which correlates it with a 3/4 size. The hard case that is included with the violin measures approximately 28 1/2" long, 8 3/4" wide, and 4 3/4" deep.
