Original Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show and Sells-Floto circus advertising poster measuring approximately 41” x 27” marked Erie litho and Etc in right corner. The image is in very good plus to near fine originalcondition showing just some minor fading and folding. This dramatic and large poster was near the end of the great Bill’s epic career after he had gone bankrupt and was attempting a comeback. Buffalo Bill had been thehighest paid and most well-known performer in the world however he had lavish spending habits including a Pullman railroad car that cost him $200,000 shortly after the turn-of-the-century which would equate to$50,000,000 in today’s dollar value. He kept a suite at the Waldorf Astoria New York which cost him $10,000 a month and his personal expenses were running $50,000 a month, (When a good job paid $20 a month) shortly afterthe turn-of-the-century. These were unheard of figures at that time. After his bankruptcy he made an attempt to revive the show with the help of a circus background and atmosphere but his show had run its course
