Original 19th century case for percussion era American revolver possibly Alsop or mass arms. The case shows a partition style interior fitted to a high hammer revolver with 6-6-1/2” barrel and 12-12-1/4” overall. The revolver would measure 3-9/16” from the top of the hammer to the middle of the trigger guard approx. The interior condition is good to very good with some normal aging, fading, slight tatters etc.The interior lining is absolutely genuine. The exterior shows veneered hardwood with brass shield shaped key plate. The exterior is in very good condition with most of its finish, slight age crack, normal aging.Pocket model Colt #157295 which is in an exhibition quality engraved Colt was found in this box and still has Dr. Bonoff’s paper label on it.
