Old heavy iron strong box approx. 12” x 16” x 7” with key and operating lock at time of description, old orange painted interior; exterior shows heavy patina over orange paint with numerous old chips and wear; affixed to the lid of the strong box is an iron plaque that is stamped “BULLION SHIPPING, WELLS FARGO & CO., DEVIL’S GATE MINING DISTRICT, VIRGINIA CITY, NEVADA”; Also included is a Carson City, Nevada check dated July 12, 1886 from The Bullion and Exchange Bank for the sum of $500. Buyer pays actual costs of packing, materials, shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
