Old 19th-century carving knife with blade marked Harrison Brothers Makers to his Majesty with GR and crown, measuring 14 ½” in length and showing great sharpening and use. These type carving knives with thin blades preferred by Indians and frontiersmen during the 19th century as they were flexible. A receipt signed by Janet Arness wife of James Arness authenticates the fact that the knife was either carried by Arness in productions or collected by him. James Arness was the star of the iconic Western TV series “Gunsmoke”. Est.: $150 -$300.
