The lot features a fully beaded belt from the Ojibwa (Ojibwe) Native American Indians. The belt is marked on the inside, “Ojibwa Danbury, Wisconsin.” The belt is made of old tanned hide and lined with old sack cloth and red stroud cloth. The belt has a beautifully beaded floral patterns on a chalk white background in glass trade seed beads of such colors as greasy yellow, semi-transparent amber, corn yellow, semi-transparent blue, semi-transparent dark blue, sky padre blue, Cheyenne pink, and more. The piece shows minor bead loss and expected wear from age and use. The tie straps appear to be replacements, so the belt could continue to be worn. Measures overall 31 inches in length by 2.25 inches wide.
