Oil painting on board signed lower edge “Louis Akin Oribi 1904” in its original period frame entitled “Pu-hu-nim-ka’s Hearthstone” and also titled by artist on reverse. The painting measures approx.13-1/4” by 9”. Shows some slight cracking and generally good, in need of slight conservation and cleaning. The painting shows Indian artifacts and the pueblo buildings are seen from the small window. Louis Akin is a well recognized Arizona artist who is known to have painted the remains of the cliff-dwellers. Est: $1,500 - $3,000
