Oil on canvas signed lower right Richard E. Bishop (1887-1975) and entitled on back “From a Pit” and also painted by artist on back, “this painting is copyrighted and copyright retained by Richard E. Bishop 1952”. Thepainting is in very good condition needing slight restoration as there is a slight seam opening in the canvas. The canvas is slightly loose and damage almost unnoticeable, it is just time to restore before it becomes anissue (estimate cost to restore $300-$500). Richard E. Bishop published and illustrated “Bishop on Birds” in 1936 and was a top Wildlife artist for nearly fifty (50) years. He won many awards in duck stampcompetitions, he illustrated magazines and advertisements and was successful in every arena. His work is actively sought by collectors. Est.; $3,000-$6,000

Buyer pays actual costs of packing, materials, shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
