Northern European semi-basket hilt broadsword for Cavalry showing thumb loop circa about 1670-1690. The sword measures nearly 41” overall with 34” blade which is nearly 1 ½” across the widest part. The metal surfaces are all lightly cleaned andshow good period forging and metal work. The grip is brass wire over brass wrapped and probably a professionally done older restoration. The condition is good for its age. Est.: $1400-$2800
