North African miquelet Flintlock Musket type carried by nomadic chieftains’, circa 19th century. The musket measures 74” overall with 58” barrel of 60 cal smooth bore, butt plate measuring 11” across back. The barrelis wrapped in hammered brass and lock and breech show engraving with traces of old silver applied decoration. The stock is inlaid with brass tacks and red dyed stones. The condition is fair to good. The slidingpin has detached and screw is missing otherwise fair to good overall. From an old N.Y. collector’s estate. Est.;$350-$700.
