Newton Arms Company prewar bolt action sporting rifle in .30 U. S. G. (.30-06) remaining in fine to near excellent original condition. The rifle shows classic Newton features, double set triggers, checkered pistol grip stock, blued steel pistol grip cap and butt plate with hinged floor plate release. The rifle retains 90% to 95% original blue with some minor scratches and slight losses at the edges and muzzle. The rear sight is a replacement in the original dovetail and the front sight is a Lyman type also in the original sight area. The interior is fine to near excellent and the bore is crisp. The stock shows excellent re-checkering and light professional refinishing that is almost un-detectable. An American classic. Est.: $600-$1200
