The top of the chamber area is dated 1937 with the "S/42" code markings on the top of the front toggle. The right side of the barrel extension has the double "eagle/63" Waffenamt proofs next to the single spread winged Nazi eagle firing proof which also appears on the right side of the barrel and the left side of the breechblock. The upper safety area and extractor are marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively. The pistol is fitted with an all blued, unmarked folded steel magazine with the aluminum base marked with "5378t" over a single Eagle 63 Waffenamt proof.
