Naval ships apothecary and surgery set for ships hospital in massive brass mounted wood case filled with dispensary medicine bottles, surgical tools and medical items that would be necessary for a 19th century to early 20th-century ship’s Dr. to run a military hospital. This set was one of 3 found in Peru that had been in the Peruvian Navy and purchased in Europe by that country approx.. 100 years ago. The condition is good but some bottles are broken and is not quite complete. We sold this set for over $8,000 a few years ago but it broke recently in shipment and some small pieces were lost. Now reconsigned. Est.: $1,500-$3,000.
