This is a Navajo Native American Indian wool rug, crafted by Lisa Seimy from Tuba City, Arizona in the Teec Nos Pos pattern. Teec Nos Pos draw much inspiration from oriental style rugs, utilizing bold and exciting patterns, surrounded by a wide border, and using a large pallet of rich colors. This rug is no exception, with a polychrome design, showing; Green, yellow, chalk white, speckled grey, and brown. The border includes symmetrical angular hooks, while the center shows an intricate medallion, flanked by embellished triangles at each corner. In addition to the master design, the rug shows an exceptional knot count. Overall, the rug is in very-good condition, exhibiting very little edge wear, or separation to the weft. The rug measures 40" x 24".
