The lot features an excellent early old pawn squash blossom necklace from the Navajo Native American Indians exhibiting astounding Royston Turquoise and Silver. The necklace shows a prominent naja squash pendant with crescent moon downward shape having a double faceted bar construction holding five early shadow box oval conchos each with a polished cabochon of Royston mine Turquoise. The necklace itself shows a double strand of silver concho pearl beads on necklace cable holding ten blossoms with the matching oval concho shadow box with whimsical center holding a polished cabochon of Royston mine Turquoise with a tooled outer design. Overall, the necklace shows an original patina from its antique to early vintage age and is considered an “Old Pawn” piece, a true rarity in Navajo Jewelry. Measures when flat 16.25” L with a squash naja being 3.5”x3 3/8” and blossoms being 2”x1”. The necklace itself is 27 inches long neck circumference.
